Samantha Flanagan (she/her), DO, DABOM is a board-certified family medicine and obesity medicine physician at Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine where she is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family & Community Medicine and the Medical Director for the Weight Management Program. She graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (2017) and completed her family medicine residency at Abington-Jefferson Health (2020). She has been practicing obesity medicine since 2020 and currently serves on the Writing Committee for the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She is passionate about advocacy for her patients and education around obesity as a disease.

Conversations that Heal: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Sexual  Health History Taking

Heather Davidson (she/her) is a licensed professional counselor with over fifteen years of clinical experience, and is the co-founder of Better Being Psychology Group. She is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, EMDRIA-certified EMDR Therapist, is certified in Perinatal Mental Health with Postpartum Support International. Heather has also  completed post-graduate programs in couples and sex therapy, and fertility counseling. She specializes in supporting individuals and couples navigating pelvic/sexual pain disorders, fertility challenges, trauma (including birth, medical, and first responder trauma), anxiety, life phase adjustments, and other sexual concerns. Heather has also published two books: Effective Treatment of Women’s Pelvic and Sexual Pain Disorders (Routledge, 2023), and Master Conflict Therapy: A New Model for Practicing Couples and Sex Therapy (Routledge, 2018).

Fascia & the Gut Feeling: A New Look at IBS  (lecture and lab)

Neha Golwala (she/her) PT,DPT, Cert MDT, PCES is the physical therapist at Zuppa physical therapy and owner of N.G.Physical therapy PLLC in upstate NY. She earned her DPT from A.T. Still university (2012). Throughout her career, Neha has developed a strong passion for integrating pelvic health expertise with the neuroscience of persistent pain. She has 17 years of experience as an orthopedic and sports PT and 10 years of experience as a pelvic PT. In addition to her clinical work, Neha has shared her expertise as a speaker at local community colleges, and for music educators, helping expand awareness of pelvic health and comprehensive patient care.

Go With the Flow: Lymphatic considerations in Pelvic Rehab (lecture and lab)

Francesca Beavers, PT, DPT, CLT is a pelvic physical therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist, that currently works for Main Line Health, Bryn Mawr Rehab, at one of the outpatient locations. Francesca received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware in 2017, and has been treating both specialties ever since. She is the chair of the pelvic PT governance board within her company. She participates in pelvic pain and LGBTQ multidisciplinary initiatives within her company. She enjoys being a CI and training new coworkers. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in a book club and caring for plants.
